5 days
Santiago
Hit the slopes of the Chilean Andes on this 5-day ski and snowboard adventure just outside Santiago. Ski or ride the wide-open bowls of Valle Nevado, one of South America’s largest resorts, take a day trip to the legendary runs and Laguna del Inca at Portillo, and join a certified mountain guide for a guided off-piste session, all against a backdrop of jagged Andean peaks. Built for intermediate to advanced skiers and riders who want big mountain terrain without leaving the northern hemisphere summer behind.
Arrive in Santiago and transfer up into the Andes (about 1.5-2 hours) to Valle Nevado ski resort, sitting at a base elevation of 2,860 meters. Settle in, collect rental equipment, and enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding peaks before an early night ahead of your first day on snow.
Full day on Valle Nevado’s slopes, with over 4,000 acres of skiable terrain and runs for every level. Your guide will tailor the day to your ability, from open beginner and intermediate runs to steeper advanced terrain, with a lunch break at altitude.
Excursion to Portillo, home to the striking Laguna del Inca and some of the most legendary ski runs in South America. Enjoy scenic photo stops through the high Andes along the way, with an optional heli-skiing add-on available for experienced skiers.
A guided backcountry or off-piste skiing and snowboarding session with a certified mountain guide, including an avalanche safety briefing. Afternoon free to relax at the resort spa or take a few more runs on your own.
Free morning for a final run or two, or simply relax and take in the mountain views, before transferring back down to Santiago for your departure.
