Leticia
Base yourself at a jungle lodge outside Leticia for four days of Amazon wildlife and kayaking. Paddle the calm tributaries of Amacayacu National Park watching for pink river dolphins, monkeys, and hundreds of bird species, trek jungle trails with a naturalist guide, and glide out after dark for caiman-spotting by canoe. A small-group trip built around slow, close-up wildlife encounters rather than a packed itinerary.
Fly into Leticia on the Amazon River and transfer by boat to a jungle lodge. Sunset canoe paddle along the riverbank to spot birds and howler monkeys.
Full day kayaking the black-water tributaries of Amacayacu National Park, watching for pink and grey river dolphins, caimans, and giant river otters.
Guided rainforest trek by day tracking monkeys, sloths, and exotic birdlife, followed by an after-dark canoe trip spotlighting caimans along the riverbanks.
Morning visit to a Ticuna indigenous community to learn about traditional Amazon life, then transfer back to Leticia for departure.
